Amex Small Business August is Back - Up to $50 Statement Credit (including Big 4 Bank issued Amex cards)

American Express is running its "Support Small Business" again. During August, when you spend at least $20, you will get $5 statement credit per transaction per location, for up to $50 (i.e. you can participate 10 times).

All Amex cards, including those issued by the major banks are eligible for this promotion. If you have multiple Amex cards, register them all. Since it is $5 statement credit for $20 spend, you can always split a $40+ bill two ways to get $10 statement credit.

Amex has run a similar promotion in the past. Last year it was $10 statement credit for $20 spend. While this year the credit is reduce to $5 per purchase, it's still a great deal!

PS. I've had some odd looks from waiters when asking to split the bill across three cards when only two people are dining, but for an extra $5 dollars credit I'm willing endure the awkward glance. Are you??
